Layla Tahmouch became an all-state discus thrower at the 2023 Div. 2 State Finals by finishing in7th place with a throw of 111'9". She worked hard through her off-season and came back her senior year and at the 2024 Div. 2 State Finals threw her lifetime best throw by almost 10 feet in the finals. Her throw of 131'0" helped her to finish 3rd place and to set a new school record that day. Layla also came close at the Huron League meet to breaking the shot put record by only falling a couple inches short with a throw of 38' 1".
