Bekah Smeltzer has been the most prolific runner in Jefferson Cross Country history. To her credit she has been third in the D2 state finals in 2006. In 2003 she was the runner up and in 2004 and in 2005 she was the D2 State Champion. She currently holds the Jefferson record and at one time held the Monroe County record in Cross Country in a 5k time of 17:43.95. Bekah has also been the Huron League Champion three times in 2003, 2005, and 2006 and was Regional Champion four times from 2003 to 2006.
