Christine Brubaker was not only the first girl to medal at the State Finals in Cross Country, but she was the first athlete for Jefferson High School to medal at the State Finals in Cross Country. Christine finished 8th place at the 1991 Class B Individual State Finals in a time of 20:43. It wasn't until 1996 that the State Finals were combined to one race for the team and individual State Finals. Christine's fastest time in a 5k race was 20:10 in 1992, which was a school record at that time.
