Debbie Baldridge was undisputably one of the fastest girls in Jefferson history. Debbie won state medals in the 100m dash and the long jump. In 1982, at the Class B State Finals, Debbie was third in the 100 yard dash with a time of 11.4 seconds and the State Champion in the long jump with a leap of 17' 1". In 1983 the state finals converted to meters and Debbie was 8th in the 100m dash in 12.9 seconds and 3rd in the long jump with a leap of 17' 7". Debbie still holds records to this day in the 100m dash in 12.2 seconds and in the long jump at 18' 0".
