Jake Baron was the most awarded Cross Country runner for boys at Jefferson High School. Jake was a 1st team All-Huron League runner in 1999, 2000, and 2001. In 2000 Jake finished 19th at the D2 State Finals in 16:08.30. In 2001 he was the individual Huron League Champion and led his team to the Huron League Title. Jake also led his team at the D2 State Finals with a 9th place finish in 16:10.5 on a muddy course. His team had the best showing of any boys team in Jefferson history at the State Finals that year finishing in 13th place
