Randy Sawdey was one half of the fastest brothers combination ever at Jefferson. In fact, Randy and his brother Chuck were twins. Randy took home the 7th place medal in the 300m Low Hurdles at the 1987 Class B State Finals with a time 38.6. The low hurdles for the 300m race moved to intermediate hurdles in 1989 so nobody will ever be able to beat Randy's record for that event. Randy at one time also held the record in the 110m High Hurdles in 14.9 seconds.
